It's Official, I Got Real
I’ve Joined Real Broker
Interestingly enough, I had my eye on Real when I first got into real estate, but I felt it was important to start with a more traditional brokerage and learn the business through that model first. I’m grateful for that experience because it gave me a strong foundation and helped shape the way I approach this business today.
Real Broker LLC operates much differently than the traditional brokerage model. They’re less focused on brick-and-mortar offices and decades-old branding, and more focused on giving agents modern technology, innovative tools, and the freedom to build a business that feels authentic to them.
Let’s be honest, most people aren’t choosing an agent based on where they hang their license. They’re choosing someone they trust. Someone who communicates well, knows the market, solves problems, and genuinely cares about helping them make a smart move.
What really stood out to me about Real is that they empower agents to build their own brands under the brokerage. That flexibility allows me to continue growing the Reel Oregon Agent brand and create a business that feels true to who I am and how I want to serve my clients here in Central Oregon.
Bend Oregon Real Estate Market Report
There’s a feeling of excitement in the Central Oregon real estate market right now.
Compared to 2025, which often felt overshadowed by uncertainty and hesitation, this year has brought noticeably more momentum. More buyers are actively shopping, more offers are being written, and overall energy in the market feels far more positive.
We’re seeing the strongest movement in the $600K–$800K price range, especially for updated, move-in ready homes. Buyers today are selective. Most aren’t looking to take on major projects or costly remodels after closing, they want homes that feel clean, updated, and turnkey from day one.
What does that mean for homeowners?
If you’re considering selling within the next couple of years, now is the time to start thinking strategically about improvements. Focus your attention on kitchens and bathrooms first. Those are still the two areas that tend to have the biggest impact on buyer interest, sale price, and how quickly a home moves in today’s market.
Even small, thoughtful updates can make a major difference when it comes time to sell.
Real estate is still a relationship business. If there's anything I can help with, whether it's discussing the market, evaluating your home's value, exploring neighborhoods, or helping a friend make a move, give me a call. I'm never too busy for your questions, your referrals, or a cup of coffee.
Fishing Update
I was fortunate enough to sneak away for a three-day camp trip on the Lower Deschutes a week or so ago. We floated from Trout Creek down to Maupin, and honestly, it was a truly special trip for me.
It was my first recreational float since 2020. Six years had gone by since I’d done this stretch purely for fun, not as a hired guide, but simply as a fisherman enjoying the canyon, the river, and the experience that comes with it.
The river was low, which made the famous Class IV Whitehorse Rapid extra technical and exciting. But the fishing absolutely rocked.
We timed the Salmonfly hatch perfectly. The bugs came early this year, and the fish were fully keyed in. We mostly fished dry-dropper setups and averaged close to 10 fish every stop we made.
The real highlight for me, though, was fishing a light 4-weight rod with a Clark’s Stone. The fish were crushing that old-school pattern, and it reminded me exactly why I love dry fly fishing so much. Watching trout explode on the surface in that canyon never gets old.
Trips like this have a way of slowing life down and reminding you why wild places matter and how lucky we are to live in this region.
